Gisborne Volunteer Centre assists with

• Advice and support to both organisations and volunteers.
• helping organisations to establish and develop great volunteer programmes and opportunities.
• Provide information and training about volunteering and volunteer management.
• Recruit and refer interested people and match them with volunteer involving groups.                                                                                            Our primary service is to help people find suitable volunteer positions with community organisations.  We interview new volunteers to determine their motivation and the areas they would like to contribute in, and then match them to a suitable position.

  Our mission is to “Strengthen the community by providing a climate that encourages volunteering” and it is aimed to achieve this by building effective partnerships to better identify volunteer needs and involvement, and to increase public awareness of the voluntary sector.

  This will help us achieve our vision of growing vitality in a volunteering community.
